Celebration of Independence Day of India in Oakbrook Business School

On the 69th Independence Day of India, flag hoisting ceremony was held at Oakbrook Business School at 0930 hours. Around 130 students participated in the ceremony accompanied by board members, faculties and staff.

At 0950 hours the Flag Hoisting was done by Mrs. Aruna Shah a lawyer by profession. After the flag hoisting everyone recited the National Anthem. Mrs. Aruna Shah then shared her view on Indian Liberation.

She expressed that today’s youth in rather of competing with each other should help each other for the development of the country. She also added that the struggle the freedom fighters have taken to give us Independent India and sacrifices made by the great souls for country and resident of the country should never be forgotten. Today’s Youth should always maintain Unity and the spirit of providing helping hand in development of the nation.

Dr. C. Gopalkrishnan advisor & member of Board of Governor interacted with the students to share his thoughts. Dr. C. Gopalkrishnan mentioned in his interaction that after Independence there were hardly few universities all over the country and today there are hundreds of universities present. The data itself shows what scope today’s youth have. Dr. Gopalkrishnan told the students that there are ample of opportunities with them and they should work hard and make optimum utilization of the resources available to them for their progress leading to the development of the country. Dr. Gopalkrishnan gave factual depiction of progress to students.

Mr. Palak Sheth, member of Board of Governors came forward to share his views. Mr. Palak shared about essentiality to be a MBA. According to Mr. Sheth, Management is the area which leads too many opportunities and management is core function of any activity done and students of Oakbrook Business School should be proud to select management as their career and work hard to develop excellence in their career path. Mr. Sheth shared journey of developing Oakbrook Business School at the end of his interaction which was a guiding light for the students of management.

Ms. Shraddha Sheth, Academic Head also took opportunity to interact with students on this occasion. She thanked all the students for doing elegant decoration in the campus and making adorable rangoli at the entrance gate. She even asked everyone to take a pledge with her that we will not cheat ourselves and anyone around.

Aayushi Bisht, host of the occasion called Lipson Paul OBS student of the first year to sing patriotic song. Lipson truly inculcated patriotism by his melodious voice.

Pooja Mishra shared some Google facts related to Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam.

Safdar Karimi another student than took a quiz of the audience on topic “About our Country-India”.
